Open ceremony on May 19
"Ode to the work and to his victims" is the message that will accompany the opening ceremony of the monument dedicated to the victims of accidents at work, which will be held Sunday, May 19 at 18.30 in the public gardens of Via Sanzio, Pontecagnano. The initiative, under the High Patronage of the President of the Republic, is sponsored by the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, the Ministry of Labour, Health and Social Policies, the Council and the Council of Regione Campania and the Province of Salerno.
It was the association "The Other City" that proposed the Administration, led by Mayor Ernesto Sica, the construction of a monument dedicated to the work and its victims. It is a sculpture, designed by the Maestro Franco Anfuso, made of stainless Cor.Ten by the Manzo''s family. It has been calendered in the workshop Cerrato in Montecorvino Pugliano.
